About 200 members of the Boys Club Network of British Columbia organized a fundraising walk in West Vancouver. The walk symbolized the journey that refugees from Syria make as they flee that war-torn country. The Boys Club Network pairs at-risk teens with mentors to lift the boys up and restore their personal accountability and their confidence in themselves and in society’s collective future. These youth were inspired when Boys Club Network patron and Radcliffe Foundation founder Frank Giustra spoke about the refugee crisis at a number of Vancouver-area schools.
